UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES

Designed to LEED Platinum Certification standards, the retrofit of the former hospital structure was divided into two phases to maintain existing operations of lower-level medical laboratories. The priority of the renovation into state-of-the-art research laboratories and offices was the building’s energy efficiency, life safety infrastructure, and seismic III rating sustainability throughout the facility. AJK provided power & lighting and new fire alarm system throughout the East, West, and Southeast wings, and Biomedical library.
