Electrical Apprentice
The Electrical Apprentice works together with other apprentices, electrical trainees, and state-certified Journeyman electricians to deliver a quality product while maintaining levels of efficiency, and production, and practicing safe work habits. They are to adhere to all safety requirements that are governed by AJK, their clients, and OSHA and to perform various aspects of electrical construction including but not limited to installation of switchgear, transformers, feeders, light fixtures, conduit, wire, control panels, and other equipment.

Electrical Journeyman
The Journeyman assists with the training and mentoring of electrical trainees and apprentices while performing their normal tasks which include the installation of switchgear, transformers, feeders, light fixtures, conduit, wire, control panels, and other equipment. They report to and collaborate with the Foreman and/or Labor Manager on-site to offer solutions to complex installation, design, and scheduling issues.

Foreman
The Foreman is AJK’s on-site and off-site representative. The Foreman is an example of and maintains AJK’s quality, safety protocols, and code of conduct expectations while ensuring the project is completed on time, under budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. The Foreman assigns the work of all systems on-site including the installation of switch-gear, transformers, feeders, fixture packages, conduit, wire, control panels, and other equipment.

Fire Alarm Journeyman
The certified fire alarm technician is well-versed in troubleshooting fire alarm panels and understanding basic NFPA requirements. The FA technician should understand FA interfaces such as elevator recall, HVAC shutdown, damper controls, etc. The fire alarm technician works with contractors, fire inspectors, and co-workers. A valid California State License is preferred.

Voice/Data Video Technician
The voice data technician should understand all types of data termination such as CAT 6, CAT 6A, RG 6, and RG 11. The VD technician should be experienced in patch panel terminations as well as cable dressing. Fiber splicing experience and the ability to work a Fluke/Ideal Cable Certifier are desirable. Californian State License is preferred.

Certified Service Technician
Our field service technician's main focus is customer satisfaction while being courteous and attentive. The technician is responsible for serving customers by installing and servicing systems and products, and diagnosing problems, and making repairs. Our service department services various types of systems including fire alarm systems, security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion), lighting controls, motor controls, and more.

Estimator
The Electrical Estimator reports to the Team Leader / Sponsor and accurately estimates labor, material, sub-contractor, and machinery costs associated with electrical construction on various structures ranging from residential, commercial, and industrial applications, including low-voltage & fire-alarm systems.

Project Manager
The Project Manager reports to the Team Leader / Sponsor and is responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of the project according to deadlines outlined in the contract and budget. Define the scope of work, and direct and communicate project objectives to team members. Manage all aspects of the assigned contract and provide all of the resources to achieve the profit and client satisfaction goals.

Project Engineer
The Project Engineer is responsible for providing support to the Project through the gathering & disbursement of information to the field and office, the procurement and tracking of all material & purchases, and balancing and coordinating the activities of a project. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Project Engineer is expected to take on any & all tasks in the quest to learn all he/she can about construction and to serve the project team in successfully completing their assigned tasks.

Electrical Engineer
The Electrical Engineer reports to the Assigned Department Head / COO and is to ensure the proper development of all AJK electrical designs. This includes engineering, AutoCAD design work, Title 24, Part 6 compliance reviews, short circuit surveys, Arc Flash Studies, and code compliance reviews.

CAD Detailer / BIM Modeler
The Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Operator reports to the CAD Manager and is to perform a variety of design/drafting activities, including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management, and managing workload distribution within the CAD department.
