We are thrilled to announce that A.J. Kirkwood & Associates, Inc. has been honored by Hilti Group Hilti North America for our commitment to innovation and safety!

AJK is proud to be one of the first companies to mandate non-powder actuated tools on all our jobs. Since August 2022, we've replaced all our gas and powder-actuated ramset guns with Hilti's advanced battery-operated nail guns. This transition not only enhances our operational efficiency but also underscores our dedication to safety and sustainability.

AJK hosted CAFAA's 2022 NFPA 72 - Fire Alarm and Signaling Code Fundamentals Class on May 17, 2024. 

AJK hosted our second annual Electrical Introduction for High School Students! A big shoutout to our esteemed business partner, Rexel USA, for generously providing the necessary materials. This event was specifically tailored to enlighten and inspire young minds in high school, shedding light on the exciting opportunities awaiting them in the electrical trade. Together, we're empowering the next generation of electrical professionals!

AJK had the privilege of participating in the Construction Industry Education Foundation Southern California Design Build Competition for the second consecutive year! We were honored to contribute materials and serve as judges for the electrical segment of the build. It's a testament to our commitment to fostering talent and innovation in the construction industry. Job well done to everyone who participated!

On March 24, 2024, AJK teamed up with Reaching for the Cure to participate in a run and raise funds for pediatric cancer research.

The grommies were in full effect this afternoon in our offices as we celebrated Women in Construction Week. These curious and high-pitched voices bellowed throughout our hallways and into our conference rooms. Our very own heroes, Safety Steve and Cameron Milloy got the kids riled up and then we put them to work bending conduit, pulling wire, wiring receptacles, and building bird feeders.

We are happy to announce that Katelyn Hunter-Lorda has been promoted to the position of Assistant Project Manager! Starting December 1st, 2023, AJK is thrilled to announce a transition from hard hats to safety helmets.

As a vital piece of PPE, the traditional hard hat, with over a century of service, is getting a well-deserved upgrade for enhanced protection against head injuries. Co-founders Arch and Michelle Kirkwood were honored to attend a special event at St. Michael's Abbey Church recently. The church received a generous donation of an organ from AJK's close friends and affiliates. It was an honor to be a part of this meaningful occasion in a church that A.J.
