
Charles Drew University - HPEB
The Health Professions Education Building (HPEB) at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science is a new, four-story, 60,000-square-foot facility designed to house the university's medical education program and offer interdisciplinary programming for all three CDU colleges. The new building will support the University’s mission to cultivate health professional leaders dedicated to social justice and universal access to quality health care. Once completed, the 100,000 gross square feet facility will feature classroom space, anatomy laboratories, and collaborative spaces to support CDU’s more than 240 medical students.
AJK was responsible the installation of all power and electrical systems, and covering both the design and installation of Lutron lighting. Additionally, AJK established the infrastructure for specialized systems, including the fire alarm system, Emergency Radio Responder Communication System (ERRCS)/DAS, voice data, and access control.
