CSUSB - Palm Desert Student Success Center

The new CSU San Bernardino - Palm Desert Student Success Center is a two-story development that will serve as the cornerstone of the Palm Desert Campus Master Plan. Designed to protect students from desert winds while drawing them in with a striking 50-foot clock tower and shaded outdoor spaces, the building will be a vibrant hub for student services and campus life. Inside, students will have access to a wellness center, library resources, dining facilities, and multi-use gathering areas that support both academic and community events. There will also be a photovoltaic array onsite that produces 100% of the building’s energy, underscoring the university’s commitment to sustainability.

AJK’s scope of work goes far beyond the walls of this one building. Our team will deliver the complete electrical package: power, lighting, fire alarm, ERRCS (emergency radio responder communication system), audio visual, access control, security, communications, and low-voltage systems. AJK will also be installing a new low-voltage backbone that will not only serve this facility but lay the groundwork for future campus expansion. In addition, AJK will be constructing a new medium-voltage loop that extends around the campus, strategically dropping service points for planned upgrades.
