The new UCI Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences Building will house the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute and the Sue & Bill Gross Nursing and Health Sciences Hall.
The Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences includes 63,600 assignable sq. ft. (108,200 gross sq. ft.) of dry research, instructional, student support, as well as academic and administrative office space, including a small food service facility. The Sue & Bill Gross Nursing and Health Sciences Hall includes approximately 43,100 assignable sq. ft. (71,500 gross sq. ft) of instructional space including a clinical skills laboratory; dry research space; student support space; and academic and administrative office space for the School of Nursing. The building has 5 levels.
AJK provided electrical service MV backbone to the building (with ILB) and installed electrical backbone inside the building two back-up generators, all exterior & interior lighting, nLight lighting controls (including circadian rhythm controls in the clinic), all tel/data backbone from UCI source to the building (fiber), all tel/data backbone inside the building (fiber & copper), all tel/data branch cabling inside the building (copper), tel/data & security racking in MDF/IDF rooms, cabling & trim for complete security card access & camera system, sound masking LV backbone cabling, AV rough-in & LV cabling, room scheduler & Nurse call rough-in & cabling, Wi-Fi backbone cabling and trim, FA rough-in & cabling, design build Cellular DAS system, and (4) cellular carriers installation & programming.
