200 Mesnager

Located in the heart of the evolving Cornfield Arroyo district of Chinatown, 200 Mesnager is a transformative mixed-use development that bridges Los Angeles’ industrial past with its urban residential future. The 384,200-square-foot project consists of four wood-frame residential buildings (Type III) atop a concrete podium (Type I), creating a dynamic blend of residential, commercial, and public space.

200 Mesnager features 280 thoughtfully designed residential units and approximately 22,000 square feet of commercial space—blending street-level retail with creative office use. Amenities include a fitness center with a yoga studio, dog park, fire pit, BBQ area, housing support services, and a second-level pool deck. At its core, the project offers a publicly accessible open-air courtyard highlighted by a striking stainless-steel cable oculus—designed to serve as a vibrant community gathering space in a neighborhood on the rise.

The development includes two levels of subterranean parking with 300 stalls for cars and motorcycles, supporting both residents and commercial tenants. AJK was responsible for the complete electrical scope of the project, including all power, lighting, and electrical distribution systems. Our team also installed the fire alarm and Distributed Antenna System (DAS), ensuring reliable communication and safety infrastructure throughout the site.
