1550 Euclid is a creative and retail office space in Santa Monica, CA. < Back 1550 Euclid At the corner of Euclid Street and Colorado Avenue, the 36,000 sq. ft., 3-story creative office and retail building was designed with double-height office space above a large retail and restaurant space. Below the building features thee levels, approximately 39,000 sq. ft. of subterranean parking. AJK installed power, lighting, fire alarm, DAS, and voice/data infrastructure for this project. < Our Team Brad Hanenberg Senior Vice President of Strategy & Planning Brad started with AJK in 2007 after spending several years in the field and obtaining his Electrical Journeyman’s license. During his tenure, he has managed a variety of projects ranging in complexity, including design/build, high-rise construction, tenant improvements, museums, and historical restorations. He currently operates as the Company’s Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning, managing risk through prefabrication and construction standardization.

Centrally located in downtown Los Angeles, Atelier is a 35-story, 363 residential unit high-rise building that sits on 10,000 SF of retail space. < Back Atelier Centrally located in downtown Los Angeles, Atelier is a 35-story, 363 residential unit high-rise building that sits on 10,000 s.f. of retail space. The building features premium amenities including an expansive courtyard with a large resort-style pool, cabanas, a spa, green space, and a dog run. The fifth floor is the main amenity level, which includes an indoor/outdoor courtyard deck, a fitness center, a clubhouse, screening and private event rooms, a wi-Fi lounge, and a business center. The penthouse floor, located on the 34th floor, overlooks expansive views and features a rooftop deck and clubhouse. AJK provided a 1,000 kW GenSet and installed the fire alarm system, AV system, CCTV, and access control system. The Sand Canyon Plaza Senior Living project is a new, state-of-the-art development designed to serve the evolving needs of Santa Clarita’s aging population. < Back Sand Canyon Plaza - Senior Living The Sand Canyon Plaza Senior Living project is a new, state-of-the-art development designed to serve the evolving needs of Santa Clarita’s aging population. This three-story, 84,589-square-foot ground-up construction will provide 140 thoughtfully designed residential units and offer a full spectrum of senior care services, ranging from assisted living to specialized memory care. The facility aims to create a safe, supportive, and vibrant environment where residents can thrive with dignity and independence. AJK's scope of work includes full power distribution, general power, and interior/exterior lighting. We are also installing a backup generator system to ensure uninterrupted service for critical operations. In partnership with specialty contractors, AJK is coordinating the infrastructure for fire alarm, DAS, two-way communication, nurse call, and other low-voltage systems to ensure resident safety and facility efficiency. The Montecedro Senior Living Community redefines senior housing with its 132 independent living units, 20 memory care assisted living spaces, and 4 villa-style senior living accommodations. < Back MonteCedro Senior Living Community The Montecedro Senior Living Community spans 10 acres and boasts a total area of 331,200 square feet. This retirement community redefines senior housing with its 132 independent living units, 20 memory care assisted living spaces, and 4 villa-style senior living accommodations. Residents enjoy various amenities, including full kitchen and dining areas, a cocktail lounge, art studio, movie theatre, business center, library, performing arts/multipurpose auditorium, fitness center, and a 90,000-square-foot subterranean cast-in-place garage and pool. In an effort to prioritize environmental sustainability, AJK approached the electrical design of the community with a focus on minimizing its environmental impact. The exterior lighting adheres to ‘dark sky’ compliance standards and Title 24 regulations to reduce light pollution. Energy-efficient fixtures were strategically employed, surpassing California Energy Code requirements by operating 12 percent more efficiently. Additionally, a 750kW Emergency Standby Generator was installed to ensure uninterrupted operation of essential services. The utilization of 3D BIM Coordination played a pivotal role in the successful completion of this project. Barrington Plaza is a 712-unit apartment community situated at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Barrington Avenue in Brentwood. < Back Barrington Plaza Barrington Plaza is a 712-unit apartment community situated at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Barrington Avenue in Brentwood. The property is currently undergoing a phased redevelopment of all three towers to comply with updated city fire and life safety requirements. As part of this process, the buildings will be stripped down to their concrete slabs and structural steel in preparation for reconstruction. Once completed, the revitalized community will feature nine-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The renovation aims to modernize the infrastructure, enhance energy efficiency, and meet updated code requirements while ensuring operational continuity for existing tenants.
