The building required extensive renovations and upgrades to accommodate the new facility including new utility systems, process production equipment, automation packaging systems, electrical service upgrades, wastewater treatment, compressed steam and air, and mechanical systems. The project had to be completed under a phased permitted fast-track approach to accommodate the accelerated project schedule and Starbucks' operational completion time frame requirements. AJK provided power and lighting for the whole project. Additional phases included wastewater expansion and fire sprinkler retrofit. The project modernizes and expands the campus with new instructional spaces, enhanced amenities, and thoughtfully designed outdoor environments. The project includes the demolition of an existing single-story building and the construction of a new two-story Learning Center connected to the main campus by an elevated bridge. The new facility provides additional classrooms, studios, and collaborative learning spaces, while renovations to the existing building create updated administrative offices, reception, and waiting areas. Site improvements also include new utility infrastructure and a beautifully landscaped outdoor amphitheater, providing a dynamic venue for performances, events, and community engagement. The new youth center facility included the expansion of campus facilities from two existing buildings to seven major buildings, two auditoriums, offices, meeting areas, parking structures, and new outdoor facilities and playspace. The campus site setting was designed to accommodate special occasions, including weddings and other gatherings.
