Originally built in the 1960s, the Pollak Library is the largest facility at the Cal State Fullerton Campus. < Back Whittier Central Library The Whittier Central Library remodel addressed mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and roofing issues. It also added 5,211 square feet, including a one-story, 1,773 square-foot addition constructed in the location of the north patio and a two-story 2,938 square-foot addition with an adjacent new light well constructed in the location of the south patio. Westmark Lower School, a groundbreaking net-zero carbon campus in Encino, California. < Back Pechanga Chammakilawish Tribal School The new Pechanga Chammakilawish Tribal School was a groundbreaking educational facility situated on an expansive 80-acre site in Temecula, California. AJK was responsible for providing the complete electrical infrastructure for four new buildings that accommodated students from early childhood through elementary grades. This included power and lighting systems, as well as fire alarm systems. In addition to the building systems, AJK also installed comprehensive site-wide electrical infrastructure, which consisted of new telecommunications duct banks, advanced lighting controls, and full interconnectivity for the fire alarm systems across the entire campus. Dundee & Glasgow student housing complex is the newest state-of-the-art residence and dining hall on UC Riverside’s campus. < Back UCR Dundee-Glasgow Dundee & Glasgow student housing complex is the newest state-of-the-art residence and dining hall on UC Riverside’s campus. The project was built in phases to accommodate the active campus and student life. The Dundee Residence Hall is comprised of two ground-up 7-story buildings with 396 dorm rooms across 175,000 s.f. Onsite amenities include a fitness center, three seminar rooms (25 seats each), a large multi-purpose space that seats 75, student lounges, laundry rooms, a residential service office, and outdoor recreation areas. The Glasgow Residential Restaurants is a new two-story, 53,000 s.f. dining facility that seats 830. It features a modern dining program with multiple food stations, an exhibition bakery, a demonstration cooking platform, a convenience store, a patio terrace, and two private dining rooms. The main commercial kitchen feats nine walk-in coolers/freezers, dish drop and dishwashing areas, and administrative offices for restaurant/kitchen and catering operations. The building also provides service to UCR's campus food trucks. AJK installed power & lighting, fire alarm system, tele/data, security system, and DAS. The project consisted of renovations of the existing laboratory spaces, associated offices, and restrooms. The Lot Plaza is a contemporary 5-story structure that creates an attractive office environment for entertainment and media tenants. < Back The Lot - Plaza Building Constructed in accordance with LEED Gold standards, this modern five-story building offers an appealing office space tailored for entertainment and media occupants. The structure incorporates two levels of subterranean parking. To accommodate the future requirements of creative tenants, AJK successfully removed the outdated 97-year-old switchgear and four sizable synchronous motors, clearing space for a new 12.6kV Service and the installation of two new substations. The 6-story design-build building features wet and dry laboratory and support spaces, research offices, classrooms, and administrative offices. < Back UCI - Interdisciplinary Science & Engineering Building Designed to LEED Platinum standards, the 6-story design-build building features wet and dry laboratory and support spaces, research offices, classrooms, and administrative offices. Smart-grid technologies, transportation systems, energy storage, renewable energy technology, greenhouse-gas-reduction approaches, and zero-carbon mobility systems are among the research endeavors planned for this space. AJK installed power & lighting for this project. Additionally, our low voltage crew was responsible for the installation of the telecommunications system (including design-build wireless network), Design-Build Public Safety DAS (ADRF system), Design-Build Cellular DAS (Cel-Fi system), and parts & smarts installation for the CCTV and Access Control systems.
